This quick and easy recipe for Low Fat
Apple German Chocolate Cake calls for no additional oil or butter. I
just had it the other night at a dinner party.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
- 1 (18-1/2 ounce) German Chocolate Cake Mix
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
Preheat
oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9x13 baking pan. In a blender or food
processor, process pie filling until apples are about 1/4 inch chunks.
Pour into mixing bowl, and then add cake mix and eggs. Beat on medium
speed for about 5 minutes. Then, pour it all into prepared pan.
Sprinkle cake batter with nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees
for 40-45 minutes or until done.
