Equipment
You will need 12 bamboo or metal skewers
Ingredients
- 6 (about 690g) beef fillet steaks, cut into 2.5cm pieces
- 24 (about 700g) shortcut bacon rashers, halved lengthways
- 48 dried bay leaves
- 12 button mushrooms, halved
Method
- Preheat your barbecue or char grill on medium-high.
- Thread bacon, beef, bay leaves and mushroom onto 1 skewer, wrapping the bacon around the beef.
- Repeat to make 12 kebabs.
- Cook the kebabs for about 2-3 minutes each side for medium or cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate, cover with foil and set aside for 5 minutes to rest.
